Dad’s Recycled Creations
My dad has been a recycling wizard for as long as I can remember, turning everyday items into awesome creations.
I'm excited to share some of his projects with you.
Even before I made my entrance into the world, my dad had already turned old tree trunks from our backyard into a stereo holder. It's pretty cool having a slice of nature right in our living room - and we’re a family of music lovers, so this stereo gets a lot of love.
Then there's the living room table he crafted from a wine cabinet rack. We had the rack on display for a while, but since my parents prefer beer, it wasn't getting much use. Dad decided to transform it into a stunning table to showcase its unique wood designs, and we've now cherished this table for about 10 years.
Now, one of his latest masterpieces in the making: a fire pit made from our old washing machine drum! Yes, you read that right. He's already got the vision and the components ready to go. A fire pit is something my parents have wanted for a while, especially to stay cosy during Melbourne's chilly winters and make the most of our outdoor space year-round. I'll be sure to keep you updated on its progress. Safety is a top priority, so it's still a work-in-progress, but I have no doubt it will be another one of his brilliant creations.
Lastly, his veggie patch! This will provide a lot of benefits for my family — such saving money, environmental friendly, and of course having fresh, nutritious produce on hand!
